Gradually, more Bhutanese were acquainted with the practice as they experienced the positive energy, mindfulness, meditation and other virtues that the practice brought forth. Bhutanese practicing this requested Her Majesty to introduce Pranic Healing in Bhutan. Having understood the mental and physical benefits of Pranic Healing, Her Majesty formally introduced the practice in Bhutan on October 1, 2012. Since then, many Bhutanese have been rained on different levels and methods of the healing systems.

The “Wesak”, also known as Buddha Purnima is derived from the Sanskrit term “Vaisakha.”On this day Buddhists all over the world commemorate three great events: The Birth, Enlightenment and the Passing Away of Gautama Buddha. It is one of the most auspicious festivals in many cultures, especially among the Buddhists.

However, it is universal in nature and people from various backgrounds, races and religions gather together every year to take part in this great act of service and to receive the tremendous amount of spiritual energies and blessings that pour down on earth to accelerate their spiritual development.

The decision to agree to celebrate this as the Buddha’s birthday was formalized at the first conference of the World Fellowship of Buddhists held in Sri Lanka in 1950. It is said that every year at the exact time of Wesak, Lord Buddha comes down and pours forth the spiritual blessings and energies of the divine. The effect of this moment of intensive spiritual effort and invaluable service is believed to last throughout the year.

Meditating during Wesak both benefits individuals and the whole humanity. Wesak took a new turn with the emergence of Late Master Choa Kok Sui, the Founder and Originator of the Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga System, Grand Master Choa Kok Sui is one of the greatest Masters of Energy .

The silver jubilee celebration of Wesak was held last year from May 1- 4, in the garden city of India, Bangalore. Bhutan is hosting the internationally acclaimed event this year first time. Participants from 25 Countries, including 32 Foundations are participating in this years’ event, which was held in Thimphu.
